A Russian Su-25 fighter jet crashed while returning to an airfield in the Belgrade area, killing the pilot.
The Ministry of Defense of Russia said in its statement that the plane of the Russian Aerospace Forces crashed while returning to the airfield after successfully completing the mission, in which the pilot was also killed.
The statement said that the plane crashed in a quiet area without causing any damage on the ground.
The Su-25 is an armed subsonic fighter aircraft that is used to support enemy forces on the battlefield, destroy installations and engage low-speed aerial targets.
It may be recalled that the Su-25 aircraft was developed by the Sekhui Design Bureau in the early 1970s.
