However, a recent study found that switching to a ketogenic diet at various levels improved feelings of calmness, satisfaction, and alertness compared to other diets.

The University of Northumbria in the UK released two online research surveys that were filled out by ketogenic dieters and non-ketogenic dieters.

In surveys, ketogenic dieters reported improved mood, reduced feelings of anxiety or depression, stress or loneliness.

According to research, at least seven percent of Americans are considering sticking to a ketogenic diet due to awareness of the mental health effects of this lifestyle.

Fortunately, past studies have shown that low-carbohydrate diets improve symptoms of bipolar, schizophrenia, and other mental disorders, and the latest study provides more evidence for these indications.
