New York: Researchers predict that by 2050, the average life expectancy for men worldwide is expected to increase by about 5 years and for women by 4 years.
According to a report published in the journal The Lancet, this increase is expected in countries where life expectancy is generally lower. This is because public health measures such as cardiovascular disease management, prevention of COVID-19, preventive measures, disease diagnosis, infectious diseases, birth and nutrition, the researchers said in the report. Innovative treatments have been devised for the problems.
The report also states that in the coming decades, chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer and lung disease will be more powerful than infectious diseases and will play a more important role in the aging of the population.
This is why risk factors such as obesity, high blood pressure, poor diet, lack of exercise and smoking will have a greater impact on the average age and disease of the next generation as a result of these aforementioned diseases.
