A vehicle stopped at a traffic signal was deliberately reversed by a motorcycle-riding robber. The robber took the citizens out of the car on the pretext of an accident.
As soon as he got out of the car, the robber tried to rob him at gunpoint. When the car occupants resisted, the robber opened fire. Hearing the sound of gunshots, the Dolphin officers on patrol reached the spot of the incident.
On seeing the Dolphin officials, the dacoit tried to escape, but the Safe City Virtual Patrol Officer tracked the dacoit through cameras.
The Dolphin Force pursued the Safe City and arrested the accused, registered a case against him and initiated legal proceedings.
Spokesperson Safe Cities says that citizens should immediately report any emergency to 15.
