Islamabad: Heavy rains are expected in the upper regions of the country during the next 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, landslides are also expected in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Guliyat, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while there is a risk of flooding in local rivers of Dir, Swat, Chitral, Mansehra, Kohistan and Kashmir due to moderate to heavy rain.
There is a risk of damage to human lives, standing crops, weak infrastructure (electric poles, vehicle solar panels, etc.) due to wind/gust/hail/thunder and heavy rain.
According to the latest weather conditions, the highest rainfall during the last 24 hours was recorded in Kalam region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 30 mm and 26 mm in Patan.
