Lahore: Heavy rains and hail are likely to occur in Punjab from today till April 30.
According to the PDMA spokesperson, there will be heavy rains in the districts of South Punjab from April 26 to 28. Murree, Guliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranula and Gujarat will receive rain.
Apart from this, rain is also likely in Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Pakpattan and Sahiwal. Rain and hailstorm are also predicted in most of the districts.
According to DG PDMA, an alert has been issued to the district administration under the direction of Chief Minister Punjab. Health Department, Irrigation, Construction and Communication, Local Government and Livestock, Information Department, WASA, Punjab Police and Civil Defense have also been issued an alert in view of the weather situation.
Besides, DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia has issued instructions to ensure drainage in low lying areas. CITIZENS BE CAREFUL Stay away from power poles and hanging wires. Stay in safe places to avoid lightning. Never go under the open sky during lightning and stormy conditions. Take special care of children and never let them near standing water in low lying areas.
