Lahore: Chairman Kisan Etihad Chaudhry Khalid Hussain Baath has said that the farmers of the entire Punjab will protest strongly after Eid for setting the support price of wheat low.
Chaudhry Khalid Hussain Bath said in a statement that the government fixed the support price of wheat at 3900 rupees per maund, which is very low. Last year’s support price was also 4000 rupees.
Chairman Kisan Ittehad said that farmers have been charged double prices for all things including Khadan, Urea, DAP, electricity and diesel, agricultural inputs have also exceeded double, setting rates in proportion to inflation.
