Punjab: Installation of safety wires on motorcycles to protect citizens from metal wires

Lahore: The Chief Minister of Punjab has started a campaign to install protective wire guards on motorcycles to protect the citizens from the bloodshed.

According to the details, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz directed traffic police and safety wire guard to be banned and started the safety wire guard campaign in Aaskar Khitmat Center.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif distributed safety wires to the citizens to protect them from metal cords and also instructed the motorbike riders not to remove the safety wire guard.

Apart from this, Maryam Nawaz also visited the waterfall service center, inspected the various counters, reviewed the self-operating system and also drove on the automated stimulator.

In the briefing, the Chief Minister was told that safety wires on motorcycles are necessary for the safety of the public, but those who do not install safety wires will not be issued a challan.

Former Senator Pervez Rasheed, MPA Sania Ashiq, IG, CCPO, AIG Traffic and other officials were also present on the occasion.
