Supplementary Finance Bill 2023 was approved by majority vote from the National Assembly, two members presented amendments in the bill.
During the meeting, the supplementary finance bill was approved clause by clause, during which Saira Bano and Abdul Akbar Chitrali presented amendments in the finance bill.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar opposed the amendments of the two members during the National Assembly session.
Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali said that a tax has been imposed on marriage in the budget, which is the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace be upon him, which is a requirement of the constitution.
He further said that even India has not imposed a tax on marriage, the truth is that Ishaq Dar Speaker and members are strangling the poor.
