Lahore: The Election Commission has objected to the nomination papers of Zulfi Bukhari and Sanam Javed for the Senate elections.
According to the details, the Election Commission of Punjab raised the objection of dual citizenship on the nomination papers of Zulfi Bukhari and said that in such a case he is not eligible for the Senate election.
Apart from this, Zulfi Bukhari’s papers have also been objected to being advertising and misrepresenting the details of assets.
Objections have also been raised on Sanam Javed’s nomination papers for the Senate seat. According to the Election Commission, Sanam Javed has a joint account with her father. According to the election law, a candidate having a joint account cannot contest any election.
The Election Commission has also objected to Sanam Javed’s signature on nomination papers.
