Lahore: An objection was raised to the application of the Sunni Ittehad Council filed in the Lahore High Court against not giving specific seats.
Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh heard the petition of Sahibzada Hamid Raza of Sunni Ittehad Council against non-allocation of reserved seats. During the hearing, Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh said that there are objections to your request. The first objection is not to submit certified documents. Another objection is that there is no relevant forum.
The court said that the forum will not be decided by the registrar’s office but by the court. I remove the objection of attested documents. Objection to jurisdiction will still be considered by the court.
Lawyer Ishtiaq A Khan requested the court to remove the objection and conduct an urgent hearing on the application, the problem is that the oath will be taken today, on which Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh remarked that it is a matter of the office, the Chief Justice will see to it. When will the hearing be held?
Later, the court overruled the 2 objections raised by the Registrar’s Office while upholding the jurisdictional objection. Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh said that the objection related to the jurisdiction of the court will be considered on the judicial side.
