Karachi: Near Nagan Chowrangi, the driver got out of control and jumped on people sleeping on the footpath while 2 brothers died in the accident.

According to Express News, on the way to Nagan Chowrangi from Sakhi Hasan area of ​​Noorjahan Highway, a speeding car ran out of control and overturned on the pavement on the people who were sleeping near Nagan Bridge, Wayne Ul Abidin Imambargah. 2 people were killed in the accident. While 3 people were injured.

On receiving the information about the accident, Chippa ambulances and police reached the spot, the dead and injured were immediately shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

According to the spokesperson of Karachi Police, the dead and injured are brothers, the deceased were identified as 18-year-old Ashok son of Gopichand and 22-year-old Bali son of Gopichand, while among the injured were Shri Ram son of Gopichand, Sita. Ram son of Gopichand and Lale son of Gopichand are involved. On receiving information about the incident, Crime Scene Unit officials also reached the spot and collected evidence from the scene.

The police say that the car occupants responsible for the accident were drunk, the accused fled leaving the car on the spot, the police seized the car.

According to the eyewitness rickshaw driver, two cars were racing towards Nagin Chowrangi from Sakhi Hasan when one car hit the side of the other car near Zainul Abedin Imambargah, leaving the driver of Honda Civic number ATZ-779 missing. After gaining control, it overturned on top of the people sleeping on the pavement, the other car which had overtaken immediately followed in reverse and put the occupants of the car responsible for the accident in their car and fled. One person was injured and we sent him to the hospital by ambulance but he managed to escape from the hospital mysteriously.

The heirs of the deceased said that the dead and injured belonged to the Hindu community, they had come to Karachi from Larkana a few days ago for labor.
