A house adjacent to the plot collapsed during the excavation of the basement with the help of machinery on a 600 yard plot in Golestan Johar area of Karachi.
According to the owner of the house, the foundation of the house was damaged due to the machinery, due to which the house collapsed, the people living in the house came out earlier, due to which there was no loss of life.
The owner of the destroyed house, Masudur Rehman, while talking to Geo News, said that he has been living in this house for 15 years.
He said that during the excavation of the basement of the plot, the machinery damaged the foundation of our house due to which the house collapsed.
He said that he did not know whether permission was taken from SBCA for construction on the plot or not.
Masoodur Rehman further said that a case will be registered against the owner of the plot under construction and a legal notice will also be sent.
On the other hand, Golestan Johar Police reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported and got the details of the incident from the affected persons.
