Karachi: 9 independent members of Sindh Assembly supported by Tehreek-e-Insaf took the oath of membership, the number of members who took the oath increased to 157.
Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani administered oath to the members. Jamaat-e-Islami member Mohammad Farooq also took the oath of membership while 3 members of GDA are still absent today.
It should be noted that on the decision of the PTI leadership, the independent members of the Sindh Assembly did not take oath earlier.
Nomination papers for Leader of the House will be collected in Sindh Assembly today.
There will also be a parliamentary party meeting in the Sindh Assembly of MQM in which the final decision to nominate a candidate for the Leader of the House will be taken.
