Lahore: For the first time in the history of Pakistan, 2 story underpass will be built.
Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi laid the foundation stone of the first of its kind unique mega project near Barkat Market Garden Town. The 2-story underpass will be the first of its kind in Pakistan and will benefit the traffic going to Barkat Market, Canal Road, Jinnah Hospital and Iqbal Town.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced that the mega project will be named Rustam Zaman the Great Gamma Crossing and said that this is the best way to pay homage to the national hero world champion Gamma Pahlwan.
The Level One Prander Pass will go from Barkat Market towards Canal Road. Level Twin Pass will go from Jinnah Hospital towards Barkat Market.
This underpass will be 700 meters long, level two underpass will be 1.4 kilometers long. A U-turn will be constructed at Bhekewal Mor and a U-turn will also be constructed at Canal Road.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the completion period of this project has been fixed for 6 months, but it is hoped that this project will be completed before time. I want this project to be completed within three to four months so that people can benefit from the fruits of this big project.
He said that it is a pleasure that the CBD Punjab team is constructing dual underpasses for the first time. The Nespak team also deserves praise for creating a beautiful design.
