Legendary German footballer Franz Beckenbauer died at the age of 78.
Beckenbauer was the captain of the West Germany team in the 1974 World Cup, West Germany won the 1974 World Cup under the leadership of Beckenbauer.
Beckenbauer also led Germany to the World Cup in 1990 as manager.
Beckenbauer has also won the ‘Blon d’Or’ twice, Beckenbauer was named the best player of the 1966 World Cup.
