Lahore: Punjab is in the grip of severe cold and fog, while the temperature of Lahore dropped to less than 5 degrees, diseases started increasing due to the change in weather.
The plains across the province are under the grip of severe cold, fog and smog. Due to the freezing cold wave, the provincial capital today recorded the coldest day of the year, with the temperature dropping by less than 5 degrees. Seasonal diseases are increasing due to dry winter.
According to the Meteorological Department, today the temperature of Lahore has reached 4.7 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature is likely to go up to 14 degrees Celsius. Fog and smog persist in some parts of the city, due to which the citizens are facing severe problems, while complaints of seasonal diseases, especially colds, coughs and fever, have become common due to the dry winter. Experts have advised to cover the head, feet and chest and use a mask to avoid severe and dry cold.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that the dry and severe cold wave is likely to increase further. There is no chance of rain for the next 3 days while the weather will remain cold and dry for the next 24 hours.
