In the first innings of the Cape Town Test, the bowlers of the South African team, who were all out for 55, created a new history of Test cricket against the Indian batsmen.

For the first time, 6 wickets fell in an innings with no runs added. India’s fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth wickets fell within 12 balls.

In the second Test match of the series being played at Newlands, the Indian team was all out for 153 with 4 out for 153.

Earlier, the maximum number of wickets fell was 5 without adding any runs. There have been only 4 instances in history of five wickets falling without a run.

Earlier the lowest run difference during the fall of 6 wickets was 1. In Rawalpindi Test in 1965 against Pakistan, New Zealand lost 6 wickets for the gain of one run.

It should be noted that in the first innings of the same match, the South African team was all out for 55 runs. India’s Mohammad Siraj sent 6 players to the pavilion for 15 runs.
