The annual performance report of Peshawar Institute of Cardiology has come out.
According to spokesperson PIC Rafat Anjum, more than 61,000 heart patients, including 9,000 children, were examined in the OPD this year, while 13,000 heart patients were brought to the emergency department.
Rifat Anjum said that more than 1400 patients underwent cardiac operations while more than 11 thousand angiography and angioplasty procedures were performed in PIC.
According to the spokesperson PIC Rafat Anjum, angiography, angioplasty, heart operation and other treatments were done for more than 15,600 patients on health cards in the hospital.
Rifat Anjum said that 21 international standard surgeries were performed without chest compressions.
According to the spokesperson of PIC, patients from the neighboring country of Afghanistan were also given the best facilities, about 4 thousand Afghan patients were given OPD treatment facilities in the hospital, while more than 600 Afghan patients received angiography, angioplasty and heart surgery. Operations were done.
Rifat Anjum has also said that more than 28,400 patients have benefited from PIC’s state-of-the-art CT scan, MRI, ultrasound and X-ray.
