On the fourth day of the match, Australia advanced their second innings by 187 runs for 6 wickets.
From Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi dismissed Mitchell Starc in the opening overs, after which Amir Jamal also took 2 wickets.
Australia’s last wicket fell to Mir Hamza and the entire team was dismissed for 262 runs.
Australia’s Mitchell Marsh scored 96 runs, wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey scored a 96-ball fifty with 8 fours, his sixth half-century of his Test career.
Alex Carey and Steve Smith scored 50 runs, Pat Cummins scored 16, Nathan Lyne scored 11 and Mitchell Starc returned to the pavilion scoring 9 runs, David Warner scored 6 runs, Marins Labushin scored 4 runs and was dismissed.
Usman Khawaja and Travis Head failed to open the account, Shaheen Afridi and Mir Hamza dismissed 4.4 players, while Aamir Jamal guided two players to the pavilion.
It should be noted that after losing by 54 runs in the first innings, Pakistan has now got a target of 317 runs to win while it has 10 wickets and about a day and a half left to play.
