The Pakistan team for the Davis Cup tie against India from February 4 next year has been announced. Easam-ul-Haq will be the captain of the national team.
Talking to journalists in Islamabad, President of Pakistan Tennis Federation Salim Saifullah said that Pakistan will be represented in the Davis Cup Group One tie against India in February in Islamabad by Easam-ul-Haq, Aqeel Khan, Muhammad Abid, Muhammad Shoaib and God bless you.
Salim Saifullah also said that the International Tennis Federation accepted our position. India had to face the ITF.
The President of Pakistan Tennis Federation said that due to our efforts, Pakistan got to host the Davis Cup.
He also said that politics has its place but this should not happen in sports. Sports diplomacy between Pakistan and India should resume.
