Pakistan Television Sports could not telecast the first day of the second Test between Pakistan and Australia due to the promotion of a gambling ad.
The government of Pakistan has banned such advertisements.
PTV maintains that discussions are ongoing with its broadcasters on the issue.
In the Perth Test, when the Test match was broadcast by PTV Sports, the advertisements of the gambling company were advertised in it, although the advertisements of these companies were not painted on the ground in Perth, but with the help of software, the gambling company was doing virtual advertising. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting took notice of this situation and directed not to broadcast gambling advertisements.
PTV Sports maintains that it accepts the government’s zero-tolerance policy on airing gambling advertisements.
