The International Tennis Federation rejected India’s appeal, after which the Davis Cup tie will now be held in Pakistan.
According to the decision of the independent tribunal, Pakistan-India Davis Cup tie will be held in Pakistan.
India wanted to play the Davis Cup at a neutral venue on the basis of general elections and security in Pakistan, and in this regard, the International Tennis Federation did not recognize India’s stand even last month.
Pakistan had adopted a position that there is no problem with the security situation in the country, other teams are also coming to play in Pakistan.
An independent tribunal was formed on the appeal of the Indian Tennis Federation on this issue and now India has been defeated for the second time in a month and Pakistan’s stand has been accepted.
According to the decision of the tribunal, there is no solid reason for not playing the Davis Cup in Pakistan, the security situation in Pakistan is not such that matches cannot be held.
The independent tribunal has decided India to visit Pakistan in February. The Davis Cup tie between Pakistan and India will be played on February 4.
