The International Cricket Council (ICC) took action against Usman Khawaja for expressing solidarity with the Palestinians during the Perth Test and charged him for violating the rules.
Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja wore a black armband to express solidarity with the Palestinians in the Perth Test against Pakistan.
Earlier, he had written a message on the shoes during a practice session, after which he was banned from wearing those shoes in the match.
According to the ICC spokesperson, Usman Khawaja violated the ICC Clothing and Equipment Law by wearing a black armband in the Perth Test, for which he has been charged.
However, the ICC did not explain what punishment was given to Usman Khawaja.
According to the rules, Usman Khawaja can only face a warning for this violation of the Anti-Corruption Code.
