Pakistan Cricket Team Management and National Selection Committee have decided to start T20 World Cup preparations from New Zealand series and test new players gradually, it is proposed to rest Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan for two matches each.
Out of the five T20 Internationals, top batsmen Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan will be given three matches each, they will be rested for two matches each to test the new talent.
Left-handed batsman Saeem Ayub will play as the regular opener while Babar Azam will open the innings with Saeem in some matches and Mohammad Rizwan in some matches.
In the match in which Babar Azam will open the innings with Saim, Mohammad Rizwan is one-down and in the match in which Mohammad Rizwan will play as the opener, it is suggested to feed Babar Azam one-down.
Sources say that ODI opener Fakhar Zaman will be played at number four, Iftikhar Ahmed at number five and Azam Khan at number six.
In the match Azam Khan will play, he will also keep the wicket in that match while Mohammad Rizwan will do the fielding.
Third wicket keeper Haseebullah will play in the middle order but he will not be wicket keeping.
