Islamabad: For the first time in the country’s history, artificial rain was given in Lahore to eliminate smog, the caretaker chief minister has said that the project was successful, rain was given in ten areas of the city, it will improve the air quality of the city.
According to Express News, artificial rain was successfully tested in different areas of Lahore with foreign cooperation, with the aim of reducing smog in the atmosphere of the city.
While giving a press conference in this regard, Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that artificial rain was successfully tested for the first time in Pakistan today, flares were fired in the first flight which were fired near Shahdara and Murid K, Lahore. About 10 areas received rain.
He said that he is grateful to the UAE team for the rain, the UAE government has taken care of all the matters for the artificial rain, the special plane of the UAE arrived here ten days ago today. Two AE ships have arrived with the entire UAE team on board.
Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab said that now the air quality index of Lahore will definitely come down, now we will see how much effect artificial rain has, some things are long-term and some short-term, tried both, air in Lahore last night. The quality index was high and ranked first.
He said that if this technology is not good for health, then no country would use this technology, but this technology is also being used in United Arab Emirates and America.
