New Zealand women's team beat Pakistan

In the second ODI match, the New Zealand women’s team defeated the Pakistan women’s team by 1 wicket to take a decisive lead in the 3-match series by two zeroes.

In the match played in Christ Church, the New Zealand women’s team won the toss and decided to field first, after which the Pakistan women’s team was dismissed for 220 runs in the allotted 50 overs.

Fatima Sana, the batsman of Pakistan Women’s team, played an unbeaten innings of 90 runs while Natalia Parvez scored 39 runs and Najiha Alvi scored 32 runs.

In the match, New Zealand Women’s bowler Sophie Devine took 3 wickets, Molly Penfold and Fran Jonas took two wickets each.

In response, the New Zealand women’s team achieved the target of 221 runs for the loss of 9 wickets with 7 balls to spare.

New Zealand’s Maddy Green scored 83 runs while Suzy Bates played an innings of 74 runs.

Pakistan’s Ghulam Fatima dismissed 4 players and Fatima Sana dismissed 2 players.

It should be noted that the first match of the series was won by the New Zealand women’s team by 131 runs, while the third and final match between the two teams is scheduled for Monday.
