Lahore: 30 eunuchs belonging to Shahr Iqbal have completed the study of the Holy Quran, copies of the Holy Quran were given to the eunuchs who completed the study of the Quran.
According to Express News, Quran classes were started for the first time for the eunuch community in Johar Town, Lahore, in which 30 eunuchs have completed religious education including reciting the Holy Quran within a year.
Anusha Tahir Butt, an activist for the welfare of transgenders, started Quran classes for the transgender community.
Anusha Tahir Butt said that one of the reasons why the eunuch community is involved in dancing and immoral activities is the distance from religious teachings. So he started religious education as well as skill building for the community.
The eunuchs said that they are very happy today and consider themselves lucky that they have completed the study of the Holy Quran today.
