Islamabad: The Election Commission has reserved its decision on the case related to the removal of former Chairman PTI from the party post.
A 5-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja heard the case. Former chairman PTI’s lawyer Shoaib and petitioner Khalid Mahmood advocate also appeared before the Election Commission.
Lawyer Shoaib Shaheen told the commission that we have submitted the record of inter-party elections to the Election Commission, now this case should end. Legally, the matter is over as the party has a new chairman. If you want to pursue this case then pursue it with Akbar S. Babar filing the petition.
The Chief Election Commissioner said that you are giving Khalid Mahmood a chance to file a petition against the new chairman as well.
Khalid Mahmood pleaded that the former prime minister was convicted by writing in the order and he cannot hold any position of the party, on which the Chief Election Commissioner said that the founder chairman of PTI did not contest the election. Can’t say.
