Islamabad: The Official Secret Act Special Court has decided to conduct the trial of Chairman PTI Imran Khan in the Cipher Case.
Special Court Judge Abul Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the cipher case at the Islamabad Judicial Complex.
Despite the court order, Chairman PTI and Shah Mehmood Qureshi were not brought to the judicial complex from Adiala Jail.
Jail officials while presenting the report in the court said that they cannot produce the two accused, had written a letter to the Islamabad Police for additional security, Chairman PTI has serious security concerns.

Imran Khan’s lawyer Salman Safdar Advocate said that it is the responsibility of the jail authorities to present the Chairman PTI, we have been appearing in the court risking our lives, is the Chairman PTI safe in the jail or is there any danger on the way? If so, tell me. The judicial complex can also be brought under complete closure, who is at risk in this court? Is there a threat from family or a threat from law-abiding lawyers? If we are not listening to you or Islamabad High Court, should we go to the Supreme Court?
Salman Safdar Advocate said that we kept saying don’t go ahead now, let it be decided how this case is going to be conducted, has any case ever been conducted so quickly? We were going to complete this case in five weeks.
Shah Mehmood’s lawyer Ali Bukhari Advocate said that this is an open trial, the accused must be presented in court, if the court orders are not obeyed, you have the authority to send the public servant to jail.
Judge Abulhasnat Zulqarnain said that the public should have access, the media should have access to the court.
The FIA prosecutor opposed the open trial and said that the trial can be conducted in jail by fulfilling all the legal requirements.
Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khanum said that children are not being discussed with the father.
Judge Zulqarnain said that the prison authorities say that there is no permission to talk abroad in the SOPs. The court sought jail SOPs from the Jail Superintendent regarding overseas talks.
The court gave its verdict after the arguments of the parties and said that due to security concerns, the trial of Chairman PTI will be held in jail, the media will also be allowed to cover the jail trial, whoever wants to watch the trial will also be allowed. .
The court directed that the next hearing of the cipher case will be held in jail on Friday. The public and the media will be allowed to be present in the jail during the upcoming hearing. Jail authorities will facilitate all those who wish to attend the hearing.
