Karachi: The Sindh High Court on the request of Tahmas Rashid A. Rizvi and other lawyers regarding the killing of 4 persons and injuries of others including a woman in Skrand Mari Jalbani handed over the investigation to DIG Shaheed Benazirabad and the report on the next hearing and the heirs of the deceased. Ordered to submit.
Before a two-member bench chaired by Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto, a judicial inquiry into the incident of Tahmas Rashid A. Rizvi and other lawyers related to the killing of 4 people and injuries to others including a woman in Skrind Mari Jalbani and a hearing on the petition to arrest the accused. But it happened.
SSP Shaheed appeared in Benazirabad court. SSP submitted the report. The report said that compensation has been paid to the heirs of the deceased and the injured. The heirs of the victims were also served with notices to appear in court.
Justice Amjad Ali Sohto remarked that he called the heirs of the victims to his office and received the notice. Why are the accused in the police challan unknown? You yourself say that the police went in search of suspicious persons. If there was a police encounter, why are the accused unknown?
SSP Shaheed Benazirabad said that the position of the police and the plaintiff in the case is the same.
The court remarked that if the deceased were criminals, why was their heirs compensated? We are not satisfied with the police investigation so far.
The court entrusted the investigation of the case to DIG Shaheed Benazirabad and ordered to present the progress report to DIG Shaheed Benazirabad at the next hearing.
The court ordered the DIG to produce the next of kin of the victims and adjourned the hearing till December 1.
