The operation was launched on the night of November 1 against a total of more than 165,000 illegal immigrants residing in the seven districts of the city, in which illegal immigrants and their facilities It has been decided to take strict action against the cars as well.

In the meantime, the law enforcement agencies may face resistance in the superhighway, especially in Sohrab Goth and surrounding communities, but preparations have been completed for this as well.

Speaking to Express, SSP East Irfan Ali Bhader said that the federal government had given a one-month grace period to the illegal immigrants in which they were asked to voluntarily go to their respective countries. Like all over the country, centers were also established in Karachi.

He said that a large number of foreigners, especially Afghans, voluntarily returned to their country with their families and belongings, while most of them were arrested by the police and after checking their criminal records, foreign acts were filed against them. Cases have been filed and handed over to the FIA ​​authorities for deportation under other provisions and the persons with the documents have also been released on bail from the court.

FIA officials have prepared temporary documents of all these arrested persons and sent them to their countries. The respite given by the federal government ended at 12 o’clock in the night of October 1, after which in the light of the orders of the provincial interior minister, the IG and the additional IG Sindh, all the seven districts headed by the DIGs of the three districts of Karachi. He said that the first arrest was made by Sadar Police, in which 4 foreign (Afghan) residents Noor Shah son of Muhammad Shah, Kamran son of Umid Khan, Umar Gul son of Abdul Hakeem and Andalibullah son of Abdul Razzaq were arrested. The old Haji Camp has been moved to a holding camp for foreigners in Sultanabad.

There are FIA, Customs and NADRA officers in the holding camp who will prepare the temporary documents of the arrested persons and deport them to their countries. In the second phase, the illegal documents holders will be arrested and deported to their countries after being punished according to Pakistani law, while their illegally acquired properties will also be confiscated. will go

Sources said that the government of Sindh has blocked the ID cards of most of the foreigners with illegal ID cards from NADRA, while their properties have also been confiscated. In the third phase, the settlements occupied by foreigners will be demolished in other areas of the city including the Superhighway, SSP Special Branch, police and other law enforcement agencies are assisting in this regard.

Police officials say that heavy machinery will also be used to demolish the illegal settlements while strict legal action will be taken against those who are likely to resist. Apart from Sindh Police, Rangers and other law enforcement agencies will also be involved in the operation.

According to the official data, more or less 75 thousand 734 foreigners live in District East, 9 thousand 527 in District Central, 7 thousand 7 in District South, 13 thousand 139 in District Malir and 8 thousand 946 in District Kemari.
