Anti-corruption crackdown continues to arrest fugitive suspects
Lahore: The anti-corruption crackdown is ongoing to arrest the absconding accused, during which the houses of former first lady Bushra Bibi’s brother, former members of national and provincial assemblies are being raided.
Anti-corruption spokesman said that anti-corruption raided the houses of the fugitive accused in Sahiwal, Okara and Pakpattan last night. Anti-corruption Sahiwal raided the houses of former MNAs Rai Hasan Nawaz and Rai Murtaza Iqbal.
The house of former MPA Naeem Ibrahim, political leader Saleem Sadiq was also raided. A raid was also conducted to arrest former First Lady Bushra Bibi’s brother Ahmed Mujtaba. However, all the accused fled from the spot, as a result of which their arrest could not be effected.
DG Anti-corruption directed to speed up the efforts to arrest the accused and said that all the wanted accused will be arrested and brought to justice.
