The victims of Orangi and Gujjar Nala, who lost their homes five years ago due to the Karachi Circular Railway (project), hoped for justice from the caretaker chief minister.
While talking to the media at the Karachi Press Club along with the Karachi Bachao Tehreek, the Nala victims said that despite the passage of five years and the court order, we have not yet been provided with alternative houses.
The victims said that now the Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (R) Maqbool Baqir has come, so we hope that he will give us justice like the workers of the Baldia factory and solve the problem of our residences in the light of the court order because this matter More than five years have passed.

Khurram Ali, Canon of Karachi Bachao Tehreek, said that the Sindh government and the courts should take notice of the non-resettlement of the Gujjar and Orangi Nala victims and provide money for rent until they are provided with alternative accommodation.
He said that after Orangi, Gujjar Nala, now Haji Limo Goth is settled before the establishment of Pakistan and Gabol community has been living here since ancient times. Many houses are also leased.
Khurram Ali said, “There is no canal passing through Mujahid and Wahid Colony and there is no additional road or traffic jam problem. It is incomprehensible to demolish this population and it feels like all these occupations.” It is being done at the behest of the builders mafia because the land in the central district yields gold.
He further said that ‘It has been heard that the names of the officers who ordered the demolition of Mujahid and Wahid Colony have been put in the watch list due to corruption’.
