Peshawar: 4 suspects including 2 Afghan nationals were arrested in the crackdown against the reference handi in Peshawar.
According to the spokesperson of FIA, the crackdown is ongoing against the elements involved in the reference handi of FIA’s KP zone. Composite Circle has operations in Kohat, Abbottabad and Commercial Banking Circle Peshawar.
4 persons, including 2 Afghan nationals, were arrested in connection with handi and illegal currency exchange. Accused Muhammad Shahraf was arrested at Chowk Yadgar Peshawar, Mushtaq Ahmed at Thakot Bazar Butgram while other accused were arrested from Kohat.
A total of 42,300 UAE dirhams, 18,800 Saudi Riyals and 41 lakh 50 thousand rupees were recovered from the accused. 42350 UAE Dirhams and 18800 Saudi Riyals were recovered from the possession of the accused belonging to Afghanistan.
12 lakh rupees and 29 lakh 50 thousand rupees were recovered from the accused Muhammad Shahraf and Mushtaq Ahmed. Evidence related to the reference handi was also recovered from the accused. A case has been registered against the accused and the proceedings have been started.
