Islamabad: The Supreme Court dismissed the appeals against the reinstatement of 112 employees of Fuji Fertilizers.
The case was heard by a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial. The Supreme Court also dismissed appeals against granting all benefits to employees while ordering military fertilizers to pay workers as per labor laws.
Justice Athar Minullah remarked that there is no question of wrong decision of the High Court in the case.
Justice Ayesha Malik remarked that Fuji Fertilizers filed two appeals in the High Court and in each case their own lawyer asked to stand in the other case, so don’t blame the mistake of the lawyers of Fuji Fertilizers on the court.
Justice Athar Manullah remarked that the position being adopted in the case is not the case and according to me, it becomes a case of Rs 10 lakh fine.
It should be noted that the NIRC had ordered payment of Rs 28 lakh to the dismissed employees of Fuji Fertilizers.
Advocate Jamshed Faiz appeared in the Supreme Court on behalf of the employees. After the hearing, Advocate Jamshed Faiz informed the court about the non-appointment of Chairman in NIRC Sukkur.
