Beirut: More than 100 people were killed in a drone attack on a military academy in Syria.
According to a foreign news agency, the Syrian defense minister had left the academy shortly before the attack after attending a graduation ceremony.
The drone strike is the deadliest in the 12-year civil war and has targeted the Syrian army.
According to the Syrian Ministry of Defense, a drone was used for the terrorist attack and a large number of soldiers and civilians have lost their lives.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack on the military academy, nor has anyone been named by the government.
