Karachi: The sit-in of transporters on Karachi Link Road continues for the seventh day.

The link road connecting the National Highway and the Super Highway has been blocked for 7 consecutive days due to the sit-in of the transporters, as a result of which there has been a fear of shortage of petroleum products.

The transporters are protesting against the alleged extortion of Rs 5,000 per vehicle at the fork. Chairman Oil Tanker Association says that 5 thousand more tankers are also arriving to intensify the protest. The protesting transporters say that the sit-in will continue until the illegal fork is removed. Strong and nationwide protests should not be forced. The employment of millions of families is linked to heavy transport.
