Karachi: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) seized a large amount of dollars and Pakistani rupees from the flat of a well-known car dealer involved in the reference handi business during an operation on Khalid Bin Waleed Road.
According to the sources, the FI raided the flat of a person named Azzaz Sheikh at Sheikha Heights on Khalid bin Waleed Road, and a large amount of dollars and Pakistani currency were seized during the operation.
According to the sources, the action was allegedly taken in continuation of the ongoing crackdown regarding the reference handi. FIA sources say that the owners of the fleet deal in imported vehicles, a few days ago FIA issued notices to 4 car showroom owners and summoned the said car showroom owners with all the documents.
According to the sources, FIA has received reports that the reference handi business is being done under the guise of imported cars.
