Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court asked Senate Chairman Raziq Sanjrani for the complete record of the allotment of the government house and asked the Ministry of Housing, Petroleum and Establishment Division to submit the record under which law the house was allotted.
In the Islamabad High Court, a case was heard against the illegal allotment of a government house to Raziq Sanjrani, the brother of Senate Chairman. During the hearing, the lawyer said that Raziq Sanjrani has surrendered the allotted house, on which Justice Babar Sattar remarked, how did he get the idea of surrendering the house now? The court also raised questions on the appointment of Raziq Sanjrani as MD Sendak Metals Company.
The representative of the Ministry of Petroleum said that Raziq Sanjrani was appointed in Sendak Metals Company under the initiative of Balochistan Rights, which was later regularized. The Establishment Division said that Raziq Sanjrani was appointed on the recommendation of Chief Minister Balochistan.
The court said that Raziq Sanjrani was appointed for three years in 2008, was there any extension after that? Submit whatever records you have, in 2008 there was a three-year appointment, now 2023 is going on.
A representative of the Ministry of Housing said that the company is given a voucher for payment after three months.
Justice Babar Sattar remarked, here the secretary is pushing for houses and you are issuing vouchers? This is a company, Prime Minister, Chief Minister and Minister have nothing to do with it.
Raziq Sanjrani’s lawyer said that they should be given some more time to vacate the house. The court said try to understand, it will be better for you to vacate that house as soon as possible.
