Contempt of Court notice issued to Senate Chairman's brother

Islamabad: The High Court has issued a show cause notice to Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani’s brother Raziq Sanjrani for contempt of court.

Islamabad High Court Justice Babar Sattar has issued a written order of contempt of court, according to which Raziq Sanjrani has been ordered to submit a reply to the contempt show cause notice by September 21. Raziq Sanjrani will appear in person on September 22.

According to the written order MD Sindak Metals Ltd. is allotted 22 grade accommodation from 2019 to 2046 due to Balochistan, category one accommodation is reserved for grade 21, 22 officers but Secretary Ministry of Housing failed to tell how Raziq Sanjrani. Type Ones deserve accommodation. State office officials were unable to explain how a 33, 34-year-old can become a Grade 22 officer.

On September 1, the court made Raziq Sanjrani a party to the case, Raziq Sanjrani was issued a notice and was asked to reply by September 15, but he did not submit the reply, on which the lawyer requested more time from the court. The court asked Raziq Sanjrani to reply till September 18.

The court also issued a show cause notice to Raziq Sanjrani for violating the September 1 order, but after the September 15 order, Raziq Sanjrani raised objections to the jurisdiction of the court. Not submitted. Jurisdiction is a matter for the court, not the parties.

According to the order, there is an impression that Raziq Sanjrani was given a category one accommodation because he is the brother of the Chairman of the Senate. Having taken an oath not to allow interests to influence the performance of duties, it is unthinkable that the Senate Chairman would use his power to facilitate Bro.

According to the court order, Raziq Sanjrani was given an opportunity to file a reply so that he could remove the impression of nepotism, but Raziq Sanjrani did not file a reply and also did not accept the jurisdiction of the court.

Raziq Sanjrani to comply with the orders of 1st and 15th September and submit a reply by 21st September and explain how he is eligible for type one accommodation. Raziq Sanjrani should also file a reply to the show cause notice of contempt of court and appear in person.

The case will be heard further on September 22.
