Karachi: In Maripur area of ​​Shahr Quaid, the security agencies and the district administration took action and recovered food grains worth one and a half billion rupees, which were to be smuggled to Afghanistan via Balochistan.

A large-scale crackdown is ongoing against the elements involved in smuggling and hoarding and the organizations are conducting joint operations based on secret information to recover the goods hidden in illegal warehouses.

According to the sources, during a major operation in Maripur area, more than two lakh hidden sacks of sugar and other commodities have been recovered, the said commodities were to be illegally smuggled to Afghanistan. According to the sources, the sensitive agency, police and DC Kemari conducted a joint operation and recovered 2 lakh sacks of sugar, black and white gram worth one and a half billion rupees from the warehouse.

A raid was conducted on a warehouse in Mochko area of ​​Maripur, during which millions of sacks of sugar were recovered from the warehouse. According to police sources, the value of the items recovered is more than one and a half billion rupees, sacks of corn, white and black gram were also recovered during the raid, which were stored in a warehouse.

DC Kemadi and his team sealed the godown after the operation, while four persons working at the godown have been detained in the raid and are being interrogated regarding the owners of the godown.

Deputy Commissioner Junaid Iqbal Khan says that this hoarding was done to create an artificial crisis in Pakistan, 100,000 bags of sugar, 100,000 bags of black and white gram have been recovered in the raid, while Assistant Commissioner Maripur Riaz Ahmed. Sheikh has sealed the warehouse.

In this regard, SSP Kemari Arif Aslam Rao says that on the information of a sensitive agency, a raid was conducted on a large warehouse in the limits of Mochko police station along with DC Kemari. The owners of the warehouse have been identified and will be arrested soon, four persons working at the warehouse have been detained in the raid.
