The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has taken notice of the irregularities in the billing of the DISCOs, a committee has been set up to check the performance of the DISCOs on billing discrepancies and other issues.
According to the Nepra statement, the committee will submit a detailed report in a month, based on the committee report, the authority will take legal action against the concerned discos.
Nepra said that in today’s hearing, the CEOs of the discos have explained the irregularities.
Discos officials said that action has been initiated against the concerned officers and personnel.
Nepra has directed all the DISCOs to end the billing issues and provide relief to the consumers.
