Islamabad: In the judicial complex attack case, Parvez Elahi was produced before the Anti-Terrorism Court, where the court rejected the request for physical remand and sent Parvez Elahi to jail on judicial remand.
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain reached the court after leave. Former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was produced in the court by the police.
The police presented Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in the anti-terrorism court after the 2-day physical remand was completed in the judicial complex attack case registered in the police station CTD and sought another 10-day physical remand.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s lawyer argued in the court and said that this is a political case. Parvaiz Elahi had not joined PTI when the incident took place on March 18. A FIR dated March 18 was filed against PTI leaders and workers. Parvez Elahi is being targeted for political revenge. The anti-corruption court also acquitted him from the case. Instead of being released, he was caught in another case.
The lawyer told the court that when there was no way out, the DC Lahore issued an order for detention. Later NAB arrested him. On approaching the Lahore High Court, a decision was issued that he should not be arrested in any secret case. The Lahore High Court gave a clear order that he should not be arrested in any other case. Lahore Police was ordered to provide security and bring home. On the way Islamabad police reached and kidnapped him.
Pervez Elahi’s lawyer added in arguments that Pervez Elahi was brought from Lahore to Islamabad, where we approached the High Court. Islamabad High Court suspended the arrest order. Then he was arrested in this case while leaving the police line.
Lawyer Abdul Razzaq, giving arguments in the court, further said that if there is any evidence, ask for physical remand. After 6 months Parvez Elahi was named in the case. The lawyer requested to discharge the case and said that Parvez Elahi has services for Pakistan. The bail of Chairman PTI, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and others has been confirmed in this case, so Parvez Elahi should be discharged in this case.
On this occasion, PTI leader and lawyer Babar Awan also reached the court room. Parvez Elahi while talking to Babar Awan said that he has to go after getting discharged today, on which Babar Awan hugged Parvez Elahi while smiling.
After the arguments of lawyer Sardar Abdul Razaq were completed, Babar Awan started giving arguments. He read the FIR in the court and said in arguments that there is a March case, so far what is the evidence against Parvez Elahi that he is a terrorist. What evidence has the prosecution given so far that Parvez Elahi is a terrorist? The prosecution does not have even a speck of evidence against Parvez Elahi. Those who were named in the case were not discharged, those who were unknown are all discharged. Lawyer Babar Awan also requested Parvez Elahi to be discharged from the case.

During the hearing, Tahir Kazim, advocate, while giving arguments in the court, said that there has been talk of arrest in Punjab. Punjab is not under our jurisdiction. It is not correct to connect these cases with our case. Parvez Elahi is accused of facilitating. He has also provided financial facilitation. A digital transaction has taken place.
The court inquired what investigation has been done in 2 days, to which the police replied that they have investigated the vehicles.
Later, the anti-terrorism court rejected the request of the police for another 10-day physical remand of Parvez Elahi and sent him to jail on judicial remand. The court ordered that Parvez Elahi be transferred to Adiala Jail and allowed to meet his family.
The judge of the court, Abul Hasnat Zul-Qarnain, called Pervez Elahi to the rostrum and spoke to him that Allah may make it easy. Have faith in Allah. The court issued a notice for Monday on the request of Parvez Elahi.
On this occasion, Pervaiz Elahi said that the Chief Minister of Punjab is my close relative and is against me, to which the judge replied that you should avoid the evil of the one you do good to.
