Massive reshuffle in Sindh bureaucracy, Salim Rajput appointed as Commissioner Karachi

Karachi: Sindh’s bureaucracy was reshuffled before the general elections.

According to Express News, the Election Commission of Pakistan approved appointments and transfers in the bureaucracy on the recommendation of the caretaker Sindh government. Secretaries of 13 departments, commissioners of 6 divisions, Karachi police chief, 8 DIGGs, 31 SSPs and SPs, heads of institutions and deputy commissioners of 27 districts have been replaced.

The names of the secretaries of 6 departments included in the list were rejected, they include Finance, Home, Education, Irrigation, Food and Forest Departments, while the proposed names of Deputy Commissioners of Karachi Central, Korangi and Matiari were also not approved. . Salim Rajput will be the Commissioner Karachi Division while the name of Khadim Hussain Rand has been approved for the Additional IG Karachi.

In the letter written to the Chief Secretary Sindh, the transfers of the officers approved include Shakeel Ahmed Chairman Planning and Development Board, Zahid Ali Abbasi Senior Member Board of Revenue, Manzoor Ahmed ACS Local Government and HTP Department, Sadaf. Anees Sheikh Secretary College Education Department, Shahab Qamar Ansari Secretary I&C, Fayyaz Hussain Abbasi Secretary Energy Department, Umar Farooq Secretary Human Settlement, Bilal Ahmed Memon Principal Secretary Governor Sindh are included.

Syed Hussain Naqvi Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sindh, Mansoor Abbas Rizvi Secretary Health, Asad Zaman Secretary Transport and Mass Transit, Noor Ahmed Samun Secretary Universities and Board Department, Asghar Ali Memon Secretary Planning and Development, Muhammad Mureed Rahman Secretary Investment Department, Asadullah Abrow Member Board of Revenue Sindh, Tariq Hussain DG Karachi Development Authority, Naseem Al Ghani DG Malir Development Authority, Jalaluddin Mehr MD Thar Coal and Energy Board were also changed.

Ghanoor Ali Laghari DG Sindh Kuchibadis Authority, Muhammad Ishaq DG Sindh Building Control Authority, Danish Saeed Member Judicial Board of Revenue Sindh, Manoor Ali Mathani MD Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority, Sajid Jamal Abro Secretary Social Welfare Department, Sharq Ahmed Secretary Labour, Ijaz Ahmed Mahesar Secretary Public Health Engineering, Nisar Ahmed Memon Special Secretary Finance Department, Muhammad Ali Sheikh Special Secretary Health Department, Akhtar Ali Qureshi DG Labor Sindh have also been transferred.

Agha Shah Nawaz Special Secretary School Education and Ejaz Ali Pathan Special Secretary SMIE & IT Department while Muhammad Saleem Rajput will be Commissioner Karachi Division, Khalid Haider Shah Commissioner Hyderabad Division, Faisal Ahmed Commissioner Mirpurkhas Division, Syed Muhammad Sajjad Commissioner Shaheed Benazir. Abad Division, Zulfiqar Ali Shah Commissioner Sukkur Division and Abdul Waheed Shaikh Commissioner Larkana Division.

On the other hand, it has been decided to appoint Junaid Iqbal Khan as DC Kemari, Captain Retired Altaf Hussain as DC South, Ahmed Ali Siddiqui as DC West, Altaf Hussain Sheikh as DC East and Captain Retired Muhammad Saeed Laghari as DC Malir. Asad Ali Khan will be DC Thatta, Abdul Fateh DC Badin, Ali Zulfiqar Memon will be DC Jamshoro and Dharmo Bhawani.

Tariq Qureshi Hyderabad, Altaf Gohar Memon Tandwala Yar, Abdul Wajid Sheikh Sajawal and Fayyaz Hussain have been approved for DC Dadu. Rashid Masood Khan will be Mirpurkhas, Wali Muhammad Umar Kot and Abdul Halim will be DC Tharparkar. Javed Ahmed Larkana, Dadlu Zahrani Jacobabad, Sajjad Haider Qamar Shahdad Kot, Altaf Ahmed Shikarpur and Farrukh Shahzad have been approved for DC Kashmore. Zahid Hussain Shaheed Benazirabad, Imran-ul-Hasan Sanghar and Muhammad Arsalan will be the Deputy Commissioner Noufhru Feroze. Fayyaz Ahmed Sukkur, Syed Ahmed Fawad Khairpur and Agha Sher Zaman got approval to install DC of Ghotki.

According to the list approved by the Election Commission, DIG South Zone Syed Asad Raza, DIG West Asim Khan, DIG East Captain Retired Ghulam Azfar Mahesar, DIG Hyderabad Tariq Razak Dharijo, DIG Mirpurkhas Tanveer Alam Odhu, DIG Shaheed Benazirabad will be Captain Retired Parvez Ahmed Chandio, DIG Sukkur Abdul Hameed Khoso and DIG Larkana Javed Jaskani.
