Karachi: Inspector General Police Sindh Raja Rifat has said that the restoration of law and order is our first priority, we have to give relief to the people, the exchange of officers will be as per the instructions of the Election Commission.
He expressed these views while talking informally to the media after meeting Chief Justice Sindh High Court Justice Ahmad Ali Sheikh in his chamber.
IG Sindh Raja Rifat on the question related to street crime said that you should be patient, give time, the situation will improve. We are trying our best. This meeting with the Chief Justice was formal.
IG Sindh said that restoration of law and order is our first priority. To give relief to the people, to improve the police service. The challenges are well known, needless to say, the channels are not that important, but our response is imperative.
Raja Rifat said that the transfer of officers will be as per the instructions of the Election Commission. Whenever a new command comes to the province, hopes and expectations are also high.
He said that people have hope and will not let their hope disappear. On the question regarding senior officers, Raja Rifat said that the police has its own system regarding senior officers.
