Protests were held in Rawalkot Azad Kashmir against high electricity rates and load shedding, during the protest citizens burnt more than 30,000 electricity bills.
The protestors demanded that the people of Azad Kashmir should be exempted from load shedding and should be provided cheap electricity.
In Faisalabad too, citizens protested against additional taxes in electricity bills.
In Rawalkot Azad Kashmir, protests were held against excessive electricity rates and load shedding on the call of Anjuman Tajran, Civil Society and Public Action Committees.
During the protest, citizens burnt thousands of electricity bills at more than 20 places. More than 30,000 bills were collected in the campaign going on for several days.
The protestors demanded that the people of Azad Kashmir should be fully exempted from electricity load-shedding, cheap electricity should be provided and electricity tariffs should be set at the state level by setting up grid stations.
Meanwhile, in Faisalabad too, protests were held against additional taxes in electricity bills.
