A flood situation has arisen in the central regions of Afghanistan after heavy rains.
According to the Afghan media from Kabul, 31 people have been killed, 74 injured and 41 missing due to the flood during 3 days.
Afghan government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said on Sunday that floods have wreaked havoc in Jalriz area of Maidan district of Wardak province, west of Kabul, on Saturday night.
He says that orders have been issued to the relevant authorities for necessary assistance and support in the affected areas.
On the other hand, officials say that where hundreds of hectares of agricultural land were damaged by the flood, the highway between Kabul and the central province of Bamyan has also been closed due to the flood.
Afghan authorities say in this regard that 250 cattle were also killed by being washed away in flood channels.
According to Afghan officials, more than 600 houses were damaged by rains and floods.
Hundreds of acres of agricultural land were partially or completely destroyed by the floods, Afghan officials said.
According to the Afghan media, the rains have continued since Friday in the central regions of Afghanistan.
