Due to the sleep of the driver, the car hit the back of the truck
Lahore: A driver fell asleep while driving a car on the highway near Sukhiki, resulting in the death of three people in an accident.
According to the spokesperson of the Motorway Police, the driver of the car heading towards Lahore fell asleep while driving, due to which the car collided with a truck from behind, resulting in the death of three people.
On receiving the information, Sector Commander Motorway Police Faisal Akram reached the spot and supervised the rescue operation. The three deceased persons belonged to Lahore, whose bodies were shifted to the local hospital by the Motorway Police and later the traffic on the Motorway was restored.
The deceased include Ali Jan, Abu Dhar and Rizwan. The Motorway Police says that several awareness campaigns are also conducted regarding falling asleep while driving.
