Lahore: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haque has said that the increase in electricity prices is no less than doomsday for the poor, the government should end its privileges instead of oppressing the people.
Sirajul Haq said that he rejects the increase in electricity prices, by increasing the tariff, 500 billion has been cheated on the pockets of the people, and by adding taxes, the price per unit has reached 56 rupees.
Siraj ul Haq said that he will raise his voice in every forum for the right of the people, the government brought the IMF agreement before the nation, the rulers grab the debt themselves, the people are made a scapegoat for payment.
While addressing the event in Lahore, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer further said that PDM and People’s Party held long marches against inflation but now they have taken a criminal silence.
